Huskers 5K Run or Walk:

7:00 p.m. - Downtown East Prairie
An annual event, the run begins and ends in the downtown area, and is held in conjunction with the Main Street Party.
A $20.00 entrance fee covers the cost of a T-shirt. Medals are given to the top finishers in each division.

8th Annual Tour de Corn Charity Cycling Ride:
Saturday, June 27, 2009, East Prairie,
MissouriThe fun ride features a choice of four routes 15, 30, 60 or 100 miles. All routes are on flat terrain on well-marked State Highways in a rural, low traffic, and scenic agricultural area. Portions of the Mississippi River Cycling Trail are incorporated into each route.
A mass start begins the ride at 7:30 a.m.
All routes include SAG service and frequent rest stops with refreshments. Fresh sweet corn is served at selected stops.

Annual Sweetcorn Festival
Each year, East Prairie celebrates the local sweet corn harvest. Activities include a Street Dance, a Kiddie Parade, food vendors, beauty pageants, a lip-sync contest - Puttin’ on the Hits, musical entertainment and much more. Living History Day
Annually on the 2nd Saturday in September, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Big Oak Tree State Park invite the public to step under the tall trees and step back into history as they host the traditional skills event. Musical entertainment, craft demonstrations and historical presentations bring history to life. Free admission and parking. Food vendors on site.
